our work
Policy and regulatory affairs
Use official sources to distinguish product frameworks, authority requirements and an Association policy position.

Questions we address
Work in this area begins with a defined product and market. Typical questions concern the product's intended purpose, the authority responsible for the subject, changes to official guidance, and the difference between a legal requirement, non-binding guidance and an industry view.
Read sources in order
Start with the applicable legislation and the responsible authority's current material. Record the title, issuer, date, status and product scope. Then identify the point being interpreted. An IAHPM briefing can help organise the reading, but it does not replace the official text.
Association positions
A policy position is explicitly labelled and approved for issue by IAHPM. Technical briefings and learning exercises do not become policy positions because they are published on the same website. The current position on membership statements concerns the Association relationship; it is not a product authorisation policy.
Contribute evidence
Identify the official source, the provision or passage, the product and jurisdiction, and the practical question it creates. A submission to IAHPM is not a submission to a regulator.
