Who may use the member identity
Use is limited to the legal organisation covered by an active membership and to the purposes authorised under the member-identity rules. Related companies and individual representatives should not imply a separate membership unless it has been confirmed.
Describe the relationship
A permitted membership statement should name the member organisation and the Association accurately. Use the authorised member artwork in accordance with its supplied conditions, without changing its elements or combining it with another approval mark.
Before reproducing the IAHPM logo as a membership identifier, request written permission that identifies the covered legal organisation, intended medium and period of use. The Association’s general logo is not a product certification mark.
A factual text statement may read: “[Legal organisation name] is a member of the International Association of Health Product Manufacturers (IAHPM).” It may be used only when that membership is active and covers the named organisation. Do not use wording that extends the relationship to products or unrelated entities.
Avoid misleading use
Do not describe a member's products as IAHPM approved, certified or tested on the basis of membership. Do not place the member identity where its context implies a product claim or regulatory authorisation. Participation in a committee does not authorise a company to speak for the Association.
When membership changes
Use must reflect the current membership status and covered entity. If membership ends or permission is withdrawn, remove uses that imply a current relationship in accordance with the applicable terms.
Questions and suspected misuse
Request guidance before using the identity in an unfamiliar context. Provide a draft of the proposed use or a link showing the concern.
